Hosta ‘Halcyon’ Plantain Lily

Hosta ‘Halcyon’ has thick blue, spear-shaped, heavily ribbed leaves that hold their color well. ‘Halcyon’ is topped by bluish-lavender flowers on 24″ stems in July and August. Hosta ‘Halcyon’ is an award winning, favorite variety of blue-leaved Plantain Lily.

Hosta ‘Halcyon’ prefers partial to full shade and moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil. Hosta will grow in ordinary garden soil and withstand drought, but they are most beautiful when provided consistent moisture. They will tolerate clay soil and can be grown under black walnut trees.

Plantain Lily are classic perennial shade garden plants that will also grow well in containers.
